0.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20 EKGoldings (487) - Radford, Virginia, USA - NOV 18, 2007
A friend from PA brings this back. All the PA expats gather around and sing the virtues of Iron City beer. Yuk .. kinda has the same crappy taste you see in Rolling Rock yet for some strange reason there is a subset of humans who like it. Might be better if I dissolved some Crystal Light in there.

This really is a horrible beer. The only reason I gave it a decent overall score is because I’ve grown used to drinking it with my father, a Pittsburg native. Outside of nostalgia and the amusing cans, there is no reason to drink this one.

I am not a big fan of this beer, but have had a chance to try it on many occasions. I find it to be no better than the other smaller macrobrews like Rolling Rock. But the cult following of this is amazing. I went to a party in college and all the people who lived there were Iron City drinkers. We were all drinking the usual keg swill and they were walking around with bottles of Iron City. Went upstairs and they had filled the bathtub with ice and filled it with Iron City.

Eh, nothing to add about this beer. Yet another mass-produced lager, though it came in a cool "One Pint" bottle. This is the epitome of "fizzy yellow beer."
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 pkbites (478) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 23, 2004
Pittsburgh Brewing must be pushing west. I found this at the Pick-N-Save in Milwaukee. $10.99 for a 30 pack on 03/22/2004.
Nice color; deep yellow. Not dark or orange, but not watery yellow.
Fair aroma. Lots of flavor, bold, but not overall good. That is to say, it's not watered down, I'm just not overly found of the taste. Kind of a funny- malty/stale yeast taste.
I'm so used to American beer being watered down, then I find one that ain't and I don't really like it. But I don't exactly hate it either.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Collint (475) - Sylva, North Carolina, USA - NOV 27, 2009
Bottle, pours a clear beer with pretty much no head. Aroma is grassy malt and no hops. Flavor is clean malty light grass taste. Light bitter finish, a great session beer!

Pours a light yellow, with aroma of corn and sweet adjunct,And thats exactly how it tastes! It had a small white head that was gone in a matter of seconds. The aluminum bottle is pretty neat though!
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Trooper11 (468) - Suffolk, Virginia, USA - JAN 3, 2007
The bottle says "Premium Lager", that with the 4% rating I am overcome with anticipation of what’s to come.....here goes. Small foamy white head leaves a bit of lacing atop this crystal clear yellow brew bubbling with goodness. Aroma is musky maltiness like ripe grapes. A bit peppery, kind of watery, medium bodied, not as malty as IC Light, but underlying malt is apparent. Notes of light fruit with peppery burn on the back of the throat. Good beer to serve to persuade an uninvited guess that he has overstayed his welcome.
