This is probably the best ’inexpensive’ beers I have found. Iron City’s taste is excellent.....nice and smooth. It is also good to marinate steaks in (and enjoy while the grill is going!).

Hey admidtidly this is not the best beer in the world... but for the price it can’t be beat. so get off its back.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2008 [bottle] Pale gold color with good white head. Mild malty aroma with a good initial malt taste. A bit watery but good and smooth to drink. Folks, people complain about it, but you cannot beat this beer. This was brewed for German steel workers. It may taste odd, but it is an acquired taste. Give it a chance.

I had this at PNC Park watching the Pirates play. Maybe it was that it was just at the ball game on a warm sunny afternoon, but this really hit the spot. A drinkable basic lager.

come on, this beer is Pittsburgh. The flavor is as good as any American standard beer and it beats Bud or Coors any day. It’s clean and refreshing, a little heavier than most of its type. When in Rome (or Pittsburgh) do as the locals do. Drink Iron City. No visit to Pittsburgh would be complete without enjoying an I.C.
