The Lure:
Nice can. Malt husks are floating on top of the water I think, with some grass blades. Doesn’t smell awful, obviously made for chugging.

The Festivities:
Reeks of adjuncts (maybe corn?). Cleanly brewed thankfully, I may have even noticed hops. Urine dominates though, but very subtlely. The classic blend of bland and blond.

Transcendence:
Go Steelers (buuurrrp) go!

Standard. Yellow, milky white head. Had this from the new aluminum bottle. Musky aroma. Solid malt, like a brick building. Only for steelworkers.

Being from da burgh you gotta love Iron City and IC Light. More of a novelty than a beer. Definantly drinkable though.

bottle. cool aluminum bottle. golden straw body with a fizzy white head. lots of carbonation. corn aroma is prevalent and not entirely pleasing. flavour isn’t exactly offensive but one can’t really vouch for any distinguishing or interesting qualities. sweet malty flavour with bubbly carbonation. watery thin body. sub-par.

Iron City is the classic standard for a pittsburgher. If your not from pittsburghy you love it, if your from pittsburgh, you’ve already drank enough of it by the time your 13 to not ever want it again.

Wanna hear a good joke? Here goes.... "Iron City beer is a wonderful premium lager." Now wasn’t that funny? The pour has a fizzled out head with no retention nor lacing. It looks straw into the glass. The nose is a "spot on" trio of corn, skunks and burning tires. The flavors have lots of cheap sweetness, reminiscent of American Macro swill, with a touch of something that tries to make the hops build a more well-rounded brew. The finish doesn’t really exist, the body is sparse, the mouthfeel is watery with no texture. If anything separates this from a cheap macro, it’s by a thin margin. This is quite honestly a marketing ploy..... in the "cool" insulated metal bottles. Oh yeah, remember my joke at your next party.
