Locally Whole Foods is carrying this beer at a jacked up price. The appearance of this beer is the highlight. Pours a bright, clear golden color with a small white head. Lacking in aroma, maybe a touch of cereal in the nose. Watery with mild flavors of cereal and honey, and a touch of hops in the background. It beats a bud.

Oct 5, 2008 16oz bottle: pours golden brown with quick fading white head, aroma of stale malt, flavor not awful for a big pale lager but nothing great pale malt with some added leather taste. i think pit should stick to steel cause there beer just aint cutting it.

Oct 2, 2008 This was a tall grenade bottle. Pours a clear golden straw color. My sniffer cant pick up much with this and my taste isn’t getting much from it either. It’s very light on my tongue. Just a hint of roasted grains, and lots of water.

Sep 22, 2008 From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Pours a golden color with almost no head but a continual supply of carbonation. That’s rather an oxymoron. Aroma of roasted malts. Thin mouth feel. Taster is kind of grassy and bready with some vague hops. I do enjoy trying the classic names from time to time even though they’re rarely top of the line. But it’s drinkable enough.
