COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
When starting an uprising, two is always better than one. Or so I’ve been told. And after you try Dubbel Fisted, you’ll find out the reason for its namesake. While peering into a glass of the deep amber colored brew you’re holding in your drinking hand, you’ll realize that you probably want one in your open hand too. Rich chocolate, caramel, and plum notes are almost too tempting for words.

Bottle: Poured a mahogany colored burnt orange with a fluffy off white to tan head. Aroma is dark fruit of plum, sweet caramel malt, and light chocolate. Taste is a dry dark fruit and chocolate, lively caramel malt that leaves just enough sweetness.

Bottle. Dirty dark amber with creamy tan head. Some yeast, light pepper, bit of cookie dough, brown sugar, higher carbonation and mild body, somewhat sweet.

Great great great plum Cabernet nose. Flavor stepped it up notch with toffee and caramel cube sugar. Nice resid sweet malt character. Excellent.

Deep murky brown with small tan head. Aromas of plums, dates, toffee. The taste is quite sweet with caramel, fig, dates, leather and a light astringency as well. Medium bodied with a creaminess and also light pepperiness. Nice drop.

Maroon body, with a decent head. Aroma is telltale dubbel plum melanoidin with a nuanced cigar box-aged quality and the feintest note of clove. The flavor too is of plum and melanoidins with a cherry and sugar finish.

"Another beer that seemed like they just threw some shit together to see what sticks. Not bad, but not good. Really didn’t know this was a "tripel" ipa. Kinda sweet, kinda sorta hoppy. Hey - it did cover the abv exceedingly well."

Sampler at Dominion Wine and Beer. Hazy reddish brown with white head. Sweet malt, dark fruit, yeast. Eh.

Brown pour, very light head. Roasted nuts(cashews), caramel, bready, ripe plums and very might cocoa flavors.

Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Looks solid; a lightly hazy caramel orange with off-white lacing. Smells of Belgian yeast and malt with notes of plum and caramel. Pleasant on the palate. Not bad.

Tap. Poured cloudy dark amber color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted leaving good lacing. Good complex dark sweet fruit and yeast aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Good fruity flavor with a sweet finish that had a moderate duration with no alcohol bite. Good brew.

On tap at Dutch’s. Totally hazy amber red orange color, a bit darker. Thin ring of off-white head, just a couple dots of lace. Dark fruit, caramel, vinous notes.. And flavors of oxidization. Keg is dated as April but who knows from what year. Doesn’t taste less than a year old to me, that’s for sure. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. Some decent chocolate notes come out once I get further in. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of creamy lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Gets better as it goes. Off flavors fade, good vanilla comes out as I go. Overall can’t ignore the mild musty muddy notes.
