3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap. Pours a murky brown with a tan head. Aroma is super plum forward, I also get caramel, dark bread and some yeasty notes. The flavor follows the nose, chalky flavors, some dark bread, lots of plum and some caramel. The body is on the lighter side of medium with a dry mouth feel. Overall a solid Dubbel.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Looks solid; a lightly hazy caramel orange with off-white lacing. Smells of Belgian yeast and malt with notes of plum and caramel. Pleasant on the palate. Not bad.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap. Poured cloudy dark amber color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted leaving good lacing. Good complex dark sweet fruit and yeast aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Good fruity flavor with a sweet finish that had a moderate duration with no alcohol bite. Good brew.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Dutch’s. Totally hazy amber red orange color, a bit darker. Thin ring of off-white head, just a couple dots of lace. Dark fruit, caramel, vinous notes.. And flavors of oxidization. Keg is dated as April but who knows from what year. Doesn’t taste less than a year old to me, that’s for sure. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. Some decent chocolate notes come out once I get further in. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of creamy lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Gets better as it goes. Off flavors fade, good vanilla comes out as I go. Overall can’t ignore the mild musty muddy notes.

750ml ($9.99) This is a very good beer. Right off the bat its got a very nice and inviting smell. Carbonation is like that of a champagne. An amazingly drinkable beer at 8.1% totally recommend this beer. You will like this too.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
It fizzes like a fizzy thing, but then the head leaves. The initial aroma on opening doesn’t carry. But the deep dark colour is fantastic. The initial sweetness carries some fruits and denser caramel or chocolate with it. This is fairly decent. Thanks to the nice people at Liquorland in Forest Hill for having this in stock.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dubbel Fisted pours an opaque red brown hazy liquid. the Head is thick beige bubbles. Nose is a heady mix of brown sugar, plums and alcohol. The body is lightly fluid and maybe a bit fizzy. The taste is initially quite sweet with hints of bread, plums, caramel and chocolate. resolving into an earthy stone fruit halfway, finishing lightly sweet. alcohol is evident after the swallow. a good dubbel.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A decent but boring dubbel. Pours a beautiful deep red with a white head. Smells malty, with some cherry, banana and Nutella. Taste is mostly just malty. Had in the bottle.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml/26floz bottle into a tulip glass. Served cool.
Aroma: A little chocolate. Yeasty. Cherries too, kind of like a kriek.
Appearance: Very hazy, near opaque, dark amber body. Not a lot of head.
Taste: Definitely there is chocolate and caramel. Also some tartness to round it out. Dried fruit flavors; I swear I’m tasting cherry.
Palate: Medium-full bodied. Good long, tart finish.
Overall: Pretty nice! Some classic Belgian-style flavors with some new ones tied in. Did enjoy and would enjoy again.
