Helping us usher in the new golden age for the beer rebel (fittingly enough) is Golden Age. Nothing quenches the thirst of today’s active dissenter better than this citrusy tasting concoction. The mesmerizing march of perfect champagne-like bubbles to the foam front draws you in. Hints of lemon, grape, and apple keep you coming back for more.

Bottle: Poured a hazy orange color ale with a rather large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of heavy residual sugars with some Belgian malt notes and some honey and pear notes also noticeable. Taste is also dominated by heavy Belgian malt with quite a bit of residual sugars with some pears and honey notes. Body is full with limited filtration and no apparent alcohol. Enjoyable but like most beer from this brewery I think it could do with more attenuation.

(Rating #4937)

Looks thick and dirty in the glass but actually tastes very good, I’ve had it at the brewery and also bought a bottle at barons marketplace and enjoyed it bith times

Muted yeast, grains and barley come through on the aroma. Appears a clouded golden brown with a big foam top. Mouthful of floral hops, yeast, spices, mango, and citrus.Overall, this is a big beast of a beer with a well rounded and full flavors. I’d give this an A rating.

Bottle shared thanks to Dmac. Pours out a moderate amber color with a small white head. Aroma is of sweet apples, Belgian yeast, pear and some light spice notes. Taste is caramel apple, grape, light bitterness, spice and a touch of alcohol on the finish.

750 ml bottle from Blue Dog. Poured a lot darker than I was expecting, a deep orangey/amber with a fuller fizzy off white head. Aroma of apple, some troical fruits, candi sugar, grains, banana peels, green grapes and sugar. Body is rather fizzy with lots of carbonation over an average density body. Flavor isn’t quite as good as the aroma, or sugary for that matter, lots of apple, grains, Belgian yeast, tropical fruits, bubble gum, toast. Solid beer.
