COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Variety is the spice of life. Every once-in-a-while, youíve gotta mix things up. Our catalyst for such an excursion out of the ordinary is, um, actually spice. Spice of Life uses traditional brewing spices in a way few dare to. Forsaking traditional ideas of subtlety and cowardly ďPinch of This, Pinch of ThatĒ brewing techniques, we embrace the flavors and launch them into a full frontal assault of delicious bitter orange peel and grains of paradise. Beautifully smooth coriander compliments and orange peel perfectly.

Bottle. Hazy deep orange body with traces of smoke and a medium creamy white head. Very nice. Nose is red berries, clove, coriander, straw, hints of pale malts and citrus. Taste is citric peel, caramel, clove, all spice, coriander, wet grass, herbs and hints of white pepper, straw and wood. Medium to full body and carbonation. Lovely stuff really, spicy and complex, yet very drinkable.

Nice fruity aroma with mandarine and clementine with coriander. Hazy orange white head. Sweet malty taste rounded of with good bitterness. Something in the taste reminds me of pumpkin ale. Medium body, lively carbonation and dry texture. Nice refereshing ale that will make a good summer ale

1st rating, 750 bottle. Pours a reddish amber, with off-white head. Sweet malt, nice fruity character, the orange and grains of paradise come through nicely, and lightly spicey. The flavors work well and the carbonation/body is soft and very drinkable. Nice beer, three so far from them, I think this is my favorite, but looking forward to trying more.

Capped 750 from South Bay Drug. Pours brilliant dark copper with a frothy 3 finger beige head. It has that orange peel aroma with some accompanying spices. With a little clove it could be a pommander. Med body. Flavor is very, very spicey. I think the clove showed up. Itís a really delicious things, and Iím glad I waited til close to Xmas. This is very strongly flavored. Brilliant. And not just the color.

Bottle from South Bay Drugs: Poured a dark golden honey color and created a minimal amount of foamy head. In the nose there is an abundance of coriander, orange peel and the spice grains of paradise which smells delicious and made my salivary glands start up right away. Actually smells similar to a true authentic Belgian witbier style. The flavor is the same high dosage of all the same elements and is just completely dominated by the grains of paradise and coriander. Also, there is a sweet and tart flavor of orange peels and has the same taste as the flesh of a tangerine. There is a little bit of a imbalance going on within this brew but since this was my first beer by Iron Fist, I have to admit that Iím impressed.

Coriander nose, with light apple and clove notes. Clear copper, medium yellow head. Surprisingly full bodied. Somewhat musty apple and overripe orange flavor. Cloves are present, but not in the foreground. Coriander finish. Well balanced and pretty well put together. Definitely not overspiced, and the base beer doesnít strike me as substandard. Solid.
