Tap @ Iron Fist... Poured pale golden/orange with a moderate head. Citrus and grassy hop character dominated this beast. But balanced and not overly bitter which was nice and not too much sweetness so the hops could still shine.

750 ml bottle from hopmasterflex (2011). Pours a cloudy deep reddish amber color with a big fluffy yellowish beige head that leaves sticky lace. The aroma has a big sweet malt burst, caramel, fruit and citrus and resiny hops. The flavor opens with a big sweet malt burst, caramel, fruits, citrus, resiny and some earthy hops. The finish does have good bitterness like an Imperial IPA should.

Tap at E! Burger. Rating #53. Hazy, bright orange pour with an off-white head that left some great lacing. Aroma has lots of citrus, grapefruit especially, very nice. Nice flavor, big bitterness, more citrus and very enjoyable. Good stuff. (2508)

Bottle from South Bay Drugs: Poured a dark yet glowing yellow with burnt orange tinting while the head developed as a thick layer of foam. Aroma is nicely spiced with a combination of authentic farmhouse Belgian yeast and scents of green herbs. The flavor is tangy with an upfront serving of Belgian yeast and spices that hint towards spearmint, clove, and crushed peppercorn. Alright beer, but since I’m not a huge fan of saisons or beers that have tons of dead yeast and floaties at the bottom, I can safely say I won’t be purchasing this beer again—now I would be willing to try it from the tap and hope it to be more fresher.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 bigrond (1347) - factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 29, 2012
Over all I liked this beer. But it was big, almost to big, if theres such a thing. Very hoppy, not much balance. Drinks very heavy, not a beer you can really hiy to hard

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 jcartamdg (1135) - Spring Hill, Florida, USA - MAY 21, 2012
Poured into my ccb pint glass. Amber brown with a 1 finger head that sticks around, beautiful lacing on this one. Decent aroma with hops and malts nothing too intense. You can taste the intensity of the hops right away then the malts balance it out then it finishes with more hops. I’ve never really experienced a fight between malts and hops in a beer like this before but I guess that’s appropriate for iron fist. Overall one of the easiest drinking dipas around, great beer from a brewery that flies under the radar!
