COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In case youíre one of the 3 people that havenít figured it out yet, we at Iron Fist are fans of everything unfettered by and silly notions of "tradition". So our latest insurrection is a two-for. We brewed a huge Belgian style Trippel and hopped the (expletive deleted) out of it. Being the counterculturalists that we are, we decisively chose to use the finest imported European hops we could get our hands on rather than the ubiquitous West Coast style varieties. We even threw in some varieties so new they still have that new hop smell. A robust malt character helps balance this truly one-of-a-kind brew.
Brewed for KnB Wine Cellars 3rd Anniversary.

Holy booze and hops. Pours a dark orange and gold with a beige finger of head. The nose has alot of caramel and toffee with big hop and citrus notes as well as Belgian esters and citrusy zest notes. The middle has mild toffee, caramel and acidic hop notes throughout. The finish is boozy and has a lingering acidic hop note that clashes with the alcohol. Not incredibly well balanced and the hops far outweigh the malts. Nice spiced notes and yeasty esters work well.

Bottle to tulip Flowers, grapefruit, resin, pine, grass, and a hint of nutmeg. Red tinged amber with a thin creamy, but mottled off white head. Lots of funky hops and bitterness right off the bat, which is then slammed with some caramelly sweetness that doesnít quite balance with the hops. But that soon fades, leaving a lasting bitterness that grows with each sip. Thereís also a vein of sourness at the end. Yes, this isnít traditional, and it is interesting, but interesting doesnít mean good.

Bottle - Sweet Belgian yeast, grass, spice and some booze. Copper with a rich beige head. Stone fruit, boozy sweetness, bittering hops and a sweet bitter finish. Not my thing.

"Another beer that seemed like they just threw some shit together to see what sticks. Not bad, but not good. Really didnít know this was a "tripel" ipa. Kinda sweet, kinda sorta hoppy. Hey - it did cover the abv exceedingly well."

Bottle. Tons of tropical fruit aroma, some soft citrus. Flavour is an intriguing mix of Belgian yeast and big IPA hops and maltiness. Doesn't quite come together, but a tasty and intriguing beer.

Big bottle. Poured a cloudy tan orange color. Head disappeared quite quick. Aroma of candy sugar, caramel, citrus hop. Caremark malts with some Belgium spice and some citrus hop. Kind of syrupy and old tasting. Ok. Low carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
