COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the tradition of an English bitter, you're hit with a wonderful malt flavor and distinct hop character from a generous amount of Kent Goldings.

Tap at Wilmington. transparent amber-gold, thin white ring surrounds oily top, lacing all over. Watery nose of grain, light crust, and bubblegum. Flavor is similar, more bubblegum, apple, and corn sweetness through finish following light butter and biscuit that makes an oily glide across mid-palate.

Tap - Wilmington. Pours clear copper/amber with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is cereal and grain malt, fruity esters, floral and earthy hops and a lightly sweaty yeast. Flavor is malty, medium hops and bitterness, fruity esters and a dry finish. Light body, low warmth, and medium carbonation.

Draft @ brewpub. Pours copper with thin, fizzy head; little lacing. Nose was hard to pickup, with notes of butter and citrus. Tastes very light, with malt and yeast flavors. Couldn’t pick up any of the hop character.

Cask at Iron Hill Maple Shade. Pours out a cascading white headed golden brew. Aroma is of bitter hops, light citrus, and some grainy bread notes. Taste is of cereal malts, some rubbing alcohol, light citrus hops and some dough.

Pint on tap poured light amber with white head. Aroma was light mainly malt straw note. Flavor was bitter and very very smooth a true english taste hops were present but not overly grassy. Body was medium with a dry finish. Great session brew

Pours copper colored from tap with a thin white head. Not much aroma. Has some slight caramel notes on the tongue with some bitterness on the finish. A big beer for 4.8% but I can’t see pulling 3 or 4 of these in a row.

20101231 tap at Newark. Light amber color with lightly lacing small white head. Aroma is a diacetyl mess with butter galore, shortbread, and some mild orange citrus. Really disappointing. I think I had this a year ago in NJ and liked it, but maybe not. Flavor is sweet, alcohol-spicy, and medium dry at the finish. I don’t run into too many bad beers front Iron Hill, but this is one.

on tap in media. your classic english pub ale. Pours a clear gold with a nice white head. Aroma is hoppy and grain. Slightly bitter, with a good clean aftertaste.
