3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Goodgrief (1608) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - AUG 6, 2007
This was a pretty good ale. A little lacking in the head department, but was still a good looking beer. A really nice flowery, hoppy aroma, but not overdone in the hops department made this a nice, well-rounded beer. A solid offering. I could drink these one after another.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2008 Draft at Phoenixville location...smells sweet and malty, very mild...very little head...hops present ..nice effervescence...the bubbles disintegrate in the mouth, taste is nice...hops blended well with the malts...its more fun texture wise than taste
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 beachbum25 (1033) - Powellville, Maryland, USA - MAY 15, 2007
UPDATED: DEC 13, 2009 On tap @ Newark-Poured a cloudy copper color w/o much head. This beer seemed kind if confused, too sweet to start with, not enough malt. Than it was too bitter on the back end, not enough malt either. Seemed to be a little bit too fruity/organic. I enjoy a good ESB-this ain’t it! ****Rerate**** On cask at the Iron Hill Newark "Cask & Ye Shall Receive"-This beer was a lot better on cask, seemed to bring out the woodsy malt flavor of the brew. A little sweeter as well, much more enjoyable.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 cazort (456) - Newark, Delaware, USA - APR 6, 2007
This didn’t taste all that much like an English bitter...it was very malty, with a sort of planty taste, and a little bit of sourness to the malt (which, as usual, I could do without). There was none of the dry bitterness that I normally associate with this style. Besides it not matching my expectations, it was both an interesting and drinkable beer, although it was not outstanding.

Had at the west chester location. I thought this was pretty good, they also offered a cask version at the time, but the difference in taste wasn’t much. a bit sweet, with maybe a tiny bit of hops. good body.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 kramer (3376) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 5, 2007
10oz draft, Phoenixville location. Pours a clear copper under a foamy off-white head that retained as a thin creamy film. Lots of heavy lacing. Nice slightly sweet aroma with some subtle perfumy and floral hops(EKG mostly). Similar malt bill as their APA. Nice soft rounded flavor. All the soft floral delicate hoppiness appropriate for the style. Light doughy and crackery maltiness, slightly sweet on the finish. Mouthfeel is soft with nice light carbonation and a slightly creamy texture. Fairly light bodied. Overall, a nice ESB or light English Pale Ale. Subtle yet not thin or watery.
