Cruzan59 (130), Lititz, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 3, 2007 10oz draft at the new Lancaster, PA location...pours a hazy greyish amber color (kind of odd actually) with no head to speak of...aroma was of banana, mild clove and bread...flavor was rather bland in my opinion...some banana and spice with maybe a slight hint of citrus...I guess the name "Belgian IPA" intrigued me...I was hoping for more of an IPA but it was more of a Hefe...glad it only came as a 10oz.
Brewer101 (161), New Jersey, USA Feb 24, 2008 The best way to describe this one is full of citrus flavor that compliments the hops in it. Very enjoyable although not quite the same as most IPAs. JB175 (1306), Holland, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 19, 2007 Draft at North Wales - Nice golden color with a medium soapy head. Aroma is very sweet with some nice Tripel/candi sugar, Sweeter, sugary breads, yeast and some sweet fruit aroma. Flavor is quite sweet with some nice Belgian candi sugar playing well with the hops - lots of orange, sugar, yeast, and sweeter breads in here. Nice mouthfeel - I like it, but it falls just short of others in this niche style of "hoppy Tripel/IPA" (Chouffe Houblon Dobbelen IPA Tripel, Captain Lawrence Xtra Gold, East End Ugly American). Pretty tasty TomDecapolis (2371), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 30, 2007 On tap at the North Wales location. Pours a milky orange/brown with a smaller bubbly off white lightly lacing head. Not a good looking beer at all. Aroma of Belgian yeast and spice, mixed citrus notes, some floral and lots of Belgian yeast esters. Flavor was more of the Belgian yeast, almost covers up the hops a bit although I was getting some hop flavor. Mixed citrus and medium hop bitterness.
