Commercial Description:
The Noire is an exotic creation. It is a Dark Belgian Ale brewed with roast and chocolate malts, Belgian Dark Candi syrup, raw barley and lots of Marris Otter base malt. Unusual ingredients for a Belgian beer to be sure! It is dark in color, and medium in body with a long sweet coffee finish. The aroma is complex and filled with dark fruits like plums and raisins as well as hints of roasted coffee beans, toast, toffee buttered rum and banana.

Poured a lightly hazy burgandy color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark fruits, caramel malts, banana, clove, coriander, light roast, toast, some cocoa, and a bit of alcohol. Taste of roasted malts, cocoa, citrus, vanilla, coriander, toast, and dried fruits, with a bit of alcohol in the finish.

Tap at IHNW. Pours a deep brown with a large bubbly off white head. Aroma of chocolate, toffee, nuts, coffee, candi sugar, dark fruits and Belgian yeast esters. Flavor of the same, lots if chocolate and cofffee notes.

On tap at North Wales (Mug Club size). Poured a dark brown color with a smaller sized head. Aromas of chocolate, lighter roastiness, dark fruits, candi sugar, lightly bready, bananas, and I was getting vanilla beans. Vanilla-rum bread. Tastes of candi sugar, vanilla, chocolate, lighter coffee, and some dark fruits.

Darker brown with a hint of purple. Aroma of raisin, brown sugar, and maybe a hint of rum. Flavor is dominated by a hefty dose of burnt and brown sugar, raisins and plums, grape juice, and a slight alcohol bite. Tasty with a nice feel. Unique.
