Orange brown pour with creamy off white head, alirght lacing. Aromas and flavor of lots of bourbon, anise, absinthe, booze, light pumpkin and vanilla. Spices are their but theyre not really pumpkin spice, no nutmeg, clove, or actual pumpkin just weird spicier woods and licoricy notes. This was just ok. Ill stick with my Pumking.

[Draft @ North Wales] Lightly hazy brown color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of vanilla, wood, bourbon, caramel, pumpkin, cinnamon, and char. Taste of caramel, vanilla, brown sugar, charred wood, bourbon, spices, and light alcohol in the finish.

Aroma of bourbon, caramel, vanilla and a hint of butter. Pours murky brown with a foamy head. Tastes strong of bourbon, sweet pumpkin seeds, sweet potatoes and alcohol. Spices are more subdued than most pumpkin beers, or maybe the intense bourbon taste just frowns them out. Intense for sure.

Draft at Maple Shade. Poured a slightly cloudy dark orange/brown. Aroma of Bourbon, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin. Palate is medium with a good dose of alcohol heat that slides down your throat warming it just like willblakes on a Saturday night. Flavor is mostly Bourbon along with a lot of banana, barrel. Hmm I’m getting more banana then pumpkin but realty nice despite the heat.

20110430 nitro at maple shade. Amazingly potent mess of booze and spice. Like a wassail reduction. Intense clove and nutmeg, over the top whiskey, vanilla. Some carbonation would be welcome.

Tap at Maple Shade Bourbon, Barrels, and Bugs. Pours out an attractive slightly orange brownish color with a solid, lacing white head. Aroma of pumpkin spice, light vanilla and some oak. Taste is pumpkin spice, nutmeg, clove, bourbon, oak, and some vanilla. Alcohol is very well hidden. One of the best pumpkins I’ve tried.
