Nice and creamy porter. The bourbon flavor was a little over powering took away from the vanilla flavor.

Nitro-draft at North Wales...
Appears a dark brownish black with a fluffy tan head that is left around the glass.
Smell is of oaky bourbon with cocoa, vanilla, and perhaps a touch of mint and anise.
Taste is of the same. Pretty wonderful...if you’re a bourbon fan that is.
Mouthfeel is creamy smooth, with a mild bit of oilyness that resides. Carbonation seems fine, considering it’s a nitro draft.
Overall, I think this is a great brew. Captured the whiskey oak barrel aging nicely and it compliments the chocolatey flavors of the porter.

Nitro @ West Chester. Dark brown with a medium tan-ish head. Nice roasty malt aroma with some wood, bourbon, vanilla, and a slight nutty hint. Flavor is a subdued, malty mix of oak, bourbon, vanilla, and just enough malty sweetness. Not over the top, but a tad better than the standard Pig Iron Porter. Tasty, with a nice bourbony tongue sting that lingers a bit.

Nitro at Iron Hill Phoenixville. Highly enjoyed this dark porter. Heavy bourbon aroma at the nose. Velvety smooth and creamy on the palate with hints of vanilla through out. This one was a winner in my mind.

On tap at the Iron Hill Barrel event in Maple Shade.
Aroma is dark coffee, slight cocoa and a strong vanilla presence. Pours black with a large beige head. Tastes big and roasty with plenty of chocolate, cherry and malts. Has a sweet lingering roast that is perfect. Strong. Brought home a growler.

Pig Iron vs. Bourbon, what a good idea! On tap at Newark location. Pours a black color with a small tan had. It took a minute for it to settle. Aroma was a bourbon, vanilla and malt. Taste was awesome. Just the right amount of bourbon, touch of vanilla and roasted malt just like the Pig Iron. Texture was thick, but not syrupy. Pretty easy to drink since it was smooth. Over all a awesome brew!

On tap at North Whales. Nice dark body with creamy head. Aroma is chocolate and vanilla milk shake. Flavor is chocolate, vanilla with light bourbon undertones working in there. So smooth with the alcohol creeping in later.

Appearance: Pours a clearish, dark brown body with a teeny, tiny ring of beige-colored bubbles.
Smell: Sweet-smelling, chocolatey aroma full of dark maltiness and all the obligatory bourbon notes of wood, vanilla, brown sugar, and shaved coconut.
Taste: Rich, dark malt taste with a medium sweetness. Milk chocolate malt balls - like a mouth full of Whoppers. Again, all of the expected bourbon aspects, all of them expertly blended; nothing overbearing or obnoxious. Sweetish finish with a fair amount of wood.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Very mild carbonation.
Drinkability: Iron Hill sure does get these bourbon beer
