3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at Iron Hill pumpkin tapping. Poured a very muddy but good looking deep dark orange/brown with a smaller foamy light beige head. Aroma is odd, fruity pumpkin notes along with some berry, yeast, bubble gum and a touch of menthol. Medium bodied with with softer carbonation and an average duration on the aftertaste. Flavor of spices, toast, pupkin towards the end and some roasted gourds. Pretty good with a slightly different twist.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap in Voorhees. Deeper copper than the Pumpkin Ale, into brown with a short white head. Relative to the standard Pumpkin Ale, focuses much more on the sweet Belgian yeast, some mineral content. Cinnamon-clove-allspice-nutmeg, lighter body with yeast slime, some etoh poking out along with minimal fusels which blend nicely with the clove. Very gooey, sticky, goopey medium body, flattish and a nice iteration in a new direction.
Strangely enough, I taste less actual pumpkin in this than in the standard Pumpkin Ale, which may not have any at all!
