Nitro at the brewpub. Pours black with a medium sized tan head. The aroma is pure coffee grounds and I love it. The taste is big coffee and a bit if dark chocolate. The palate is smooth and we’ll suited for Nitro.

Tap. Pours opaque black with thin, creamy tan head; decent retention and spare lacing. Aroma is fresh roast coffee, roasted and chocolate malts, earthy hops, light dates, and light woody notes. Flavor is coffee forward with good roast malts, dark fruit esters, and faint earthy hops and light woody notes; dry, roasted finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

Tap. Pours opaque black with a small, frothy tan head, short retention with good lacing. Aroma is earthy and spicy coffee with dark chocolate and roast malt, prune and raisin esters with spicy and earthy hops. Flavor is dark malt dominant with heavy coffee notes, dark fruity esters light hops and medium bitterness with a dry finish. Full body and medium carbonation.

Draft at IHP-ville. Pours dark brown toward black with off-khaki head. Nose is heavy espresso, dark malt, mild cacao. Tastes of fresh ground coffee, with dark malt, mild cacao, and some roasty charred notes. Stays on the bitterr side, with late hiops emerging.
