Funknmilla (489), Absecon, New Jersey, USA Apr 19, 2008 Nitro at Phoenixville location....Appears black...dark dark brown....creamy appearance to the coffee ice cream colored head....it smells like an easter basket.....sweet dark chocolate....creamy body, lush texture....dark slightly bitter chocolate taste, rich toasty malts, very easy to drink, and its not overly sweet....pretty simple as far as flavor profile, but the aroma and body certainly make up for that....the lacing of this liquid easter looks like baby trees
egajdzis (2879), Terrapin, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 13, 2008 Poured a dark black color with a small, light tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla bean, and a bit of java. Taste of roasted malt, light smoke, bitter dark chocolate, light bitter hops, and warming alcohol in the finish. Dickinsonbeer (2480), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Apr 6, 2008 nitro at P-ville. 8%abv listed. Pours a very long lasting nitro head and takes a while to settle- deep colored- almost pitch black with some ruby highlights. Aroma is intense with raw chocolate, and dark candy chocolate- sweet, and then a big kick of vanilla bean and cream as well with some nice espresso/ machiatto. Flavor is a bit sweet, lots of chocolate, more vanilla and cream, and some bourbony alcohol hints as well. Starts smooth, but I kind of get sick of it and it becomes hard to drink. Reminded me of Aphrodesiaque, but even more over the top and didnt work quite as well. Miver (299), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 7, 2008 Updated: May 8, 2008On nitro in Lancaster. AKA Chocolate Indulgence Stout. Tapped for the Mugclub party. Poured black with a medium sized tan foamy nitro head. Aroma is of chocolate with a tid bit of coffee. Taste is primarily of bakers chocolate with small hints of coffee, nuts, roasty notes. The body was thin and a bit watery. Not a bad stout, but I’ll take their RIS on draft any day.
