hopdog (4645), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 21, 2005 On tap at the North Wales Location (on the menu as Dry Irish Stout). On Nitro. Poured a dark black (with red at the edges) and an averaged sized tan head. Very nice aromas of roasted malts, bitter chocolate, light coffee and a little smoky. Taste was a major let down (did the nitro kill it). Body a little on the thin side as well. DocLock (4170), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA May 16, 2005 North Wales. Blackish pour with minimal tan head. Aroma of big malt, chocoff, some tobacco, smoke, and molasses. Tastes malty, with chocolate syrup in the finish, and a smooth palate. Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Apr 8, 2003 At the Newark, Delaware location: Awesome visual appeal ... black with a tan beautiful head. Roasty malt nose. Very smooth, but maybe a bit thin. Good roasty flavor, stark sharp bitter ending. egajdzis (3013), Terrapin, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 21, 2005 Poured dark brown/red (not opaque) with a medium sized, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Nice aroma, lots of dry roastiness, chocolate, and a bit of piny hops in the background. Dry roast, and light chocolate in the taste, with a weak, watery mouthfeel. Dickinsonbeer (2550), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Apr 6, 2008 Nitro at p-ville. Pours a nice deep grayish black with a gray-tan head and good lace. Aroma is nutty, dry toasted malts, light coffee and roast malts- and some acrid burnt malts going on. Flavor is roasted malts, black patent, light sweetness up front, drys out in the end, body is a bit bigger than Guinness, but at 3.9% it is really quite nice. Very well made dry stout.
