puzzl (1686), New York, New York, USA Aug 4, 2008 Tap at BCTC. Very dead brown pour with no head. Light sour skirts the nose, with a touch of cherries, and some veggies, something I don’t often encounter in sour beers. Some german malts used? Flavor has a good sour but is surrounded by boiled vegetables. Cucumber, red pepper. A bit watery. bu11zeye (3628), Frisco, Texas, USA Nov 1, 2007 (Draught) Pours a hazy amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of dried strawberries, toasted caramel, May Tag Blue, and mustiness. Flavor of sour fruit (strawberry, cherry, lemon) and oak; sharp tartness upfront that subdues quickly to a dry finish. kp (6000), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Oct 21, 2007 Updated: Nov 25, 2007Name: FRED

mds (2111), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 26, 2007 Draught. Murky reddish-auburn with a bubbly ring of white head. The aroma is toasty with pear skins, brett, sugar, and strawberry. Bretty upfront leading into some sweet fruits (cherry and strawberry) and then some abrasive tartness. Thins out towards the end. kkearn (600), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 31, 2007 Draft, labeled ’F.Red’ at BCTC 2007. poured hazy brown/amber with minimal white head. Earthy, tart, sour cherry aroma; not as funky as my favorite sours but close enough. Moderately tart, fruity, oaky flavor. A straightforward, mild version of the style, but i applaud the effort.
