3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Unlabeled 750ml (corked and caged) thanks to Peter. Pours with a hazy amber body and a large, off-white head. Aroma of candi sugar, mustiness, dates, dark fruits and light vinegar. Taste is tangy, sour, dark fruits and finishes metallic. Creamy carbonation.

I’m going out on a limb here and hoping this is the F.Red. so, this is a review for that, in case it is a different beer. Label says flemish red, but the name of the actual beer is F.Red.
Bottle from awesome girlfriend from Wilmington location. Expensive.
Pour with little head and what appears to be a very coke like appearance. Carbonation, color, etc. Not red.
Not much head on it either... a few Swirly to get more on the nose is an abysmal failure. Smell is a mild tartness, and a very clean smell. You know how water is idorless, but still retains a somewhat "clean" smell... this has it.
Taste is a bit vinegery, but definitely has that flanders red taste to it. Some nice tart cherry... but not much else. Disappointing. I think more carbonation would help the flavor profile... but as it is, there just isn’t much to it. Easy to drink despite the complaints though.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle... Poured dark reddish, mahogany with a thin head. Total copper, metallic bomb. Tasted like blood and minerals. Some sourness and but all went back to the copper flavor. Some other dark fruit and oak notes too.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
15.07.06 BCTC Murky rust color beneath only a trace of beige head. Aroma was mostly musky with some sulfur notes, sweaty leather, and background hints of fallen cherries and band-aids. Herbal notes come through quickly on the palate, with more band-aid and citrus tartness. This one tasted more to me like a beer gone bad than a sincere attempt at the style. Some redeeming toffee sweetness and apple must. Really wanted to love this and maybe I’ll get another crack at it during the Kennett fest.
