Draft at the pumpkin tapping at Maple Shade. Poured a pale yellow with a fully fluffy white head. Aroma of crisp garins, dry hop cones, earthy citrus. Flavor of grains, honey topped well done toast, some cereal and grass. Thin bodied with softer to perhaps average carbonation. Solid and drinkable.

There really isn’t a whole lot about this pils that makes it stand out in the crowd, but it is easy drinking, smooth and delicious. The beer pours a bright and clear golden color with a decent-sized white head. The head leaves some sticky lacing around the glass. The nose has some lightly toasted bread and dry and citrusy hops. The flavor is very crisp and clean, but doesn’t feature enough hops for my liking for a pilsener. Most of the spiciness and hop flavor show through in the finish and the aftertaste.

Mild aroma, light grassy hops, bland flavor, though very easy drinking, clear pale yellow, small head nice lacing... lacking carbonation...

In short: A superb grassy clean thirst blonde lager to drink by the gallons
How: Growler shared at RBSG 2011 grand tasting
The look: Clear yellow-blonde body topped by a medium white head with good retention
In long: Nose is hay, fresh grass and yellowed grass. Taste packs fresh cereals, fresh hay, fresh straws, fresh stuff. Superb yellowed grass finish that leads to a dry and mildly bitterness finish. No sweetness sensation to be found anywhere. Superb thirst lager. Amazingly drinkable and tasted so fresh and true. This unpopular beer at the tasting was my goto palate reset beer between big beers. 3.15 rating average!?!?! You’ve got to be kidding me. This was one of my favorite beer of this huge tasting and probably the one with the lowest rating average. What can I say, I’m different, I’m the only person I know who is looking forward to having grey hair. (mainly because I hope they’ll make me look less immature).
