Nejhleader (771), Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 3, 2007 not your traditional barleywine. dark golden colour, seemed to have a tad of a fruity aroma, body a bit syrupy, flavour of sweet hops, bit of candy. JB175 (1264), Holland, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 17, 2007 Golden color with smaller head. Sweet aroma with an almost Belgian scent - some hops detectable in the nose. Sweet taste that seems to cross over into Quad/Belgian strong territory. Hops are definitely pleasant. A bit different, but I don’t go to good brewpubs for the same old thing. axilla (939), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 22, 2006 Poured a golden amber body. Very hoppy nose...Somewhat perfumy. The flavor was pretty big hops of the bat. Lots of flowery citrus flavor. The finish become a bit maltier with some carmel hints but still a good bit of hops and some alcohol.
