egajdzis (2879), Terrapin, Pennsylvania, USA May 17, 2008 Draft Newark 03 Amber color with a small white sitcky head and some lacing. Taste was all bitter, bitter hops, and some alcohol, nothing else to back this up. kenb (924), Oregon, USA May 1, 2008 22 oz bottle via ?....this is a boring berrrrrrrrrrrrrr....light body...potato carb///boring/....where are the hops? michael-pollack (1318), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 1, 2007 Had this in Media Winter 2006. Draught: Bitter aroma. Smelled of hops, citrus, grapefruit, and some floral notes. Poured amber in color with a large, frothy, creamy, off-white head . Great lacing. Clear. Flavor was light to medium bitter. Tasted hoppy and malty, as well as herbal, with notes of floral and citrus hops, and light spice. Lively carbonation. An easy drink. Seemed like more of an APA than an IPA to me. axilla (941), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 16, 2007 Newark. Pour was a very clean copper color with a small white head that kind of stuck around for the duration of the beer. Aroma was very sweet, oranges, lemons, mild grapefruit. Flavor was quite citrusy with a decent malty backbone and some subtle earthy notes. TomDecapolis (2346), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 10, 2006 On at at the Newark location. Described by the bar tender as a 6.5% IPA and noted on the board as the Holiday Ale. Pours a translucent golden copper with a medium creamy, lacing and sustaining off white head. Aroma of citrus...mostly orage with hints of lemon and some caramel malt hidden in there. Flavor of citrus hop followed by cereal grains, some caramel, grapefruit and a light hop bitterness. Very nice IPA.
