American-style double IPA. Full-bodied malt flavor supports a ridiculous amount of hops, giving it pronounced bitterness and overwhelming hop flavor and aroma. OG: 1.080 Color: 10

Draft @ Media. Clear amber color with a smallish white head. Aroma is a pleasant grassy-pine hops with a tinge of citrus fruit to sweeten up the nose. Taste is nice and hoppy - balanced pretty well - with lots of grassy-pine hops and a bit orange and sugar. Well done IPA that I hope to see more of from Iron Hill.

On tap at the Media location billed as 8%. Pours a translucent golden orange with an average off white lacing head. Aroma was up front orange, floral, caramel malt, pine, grapefruit...hops galore. Flavor of orange, grapefruit bitterness, loads of hop flavor, some caramel and a bunch of hop bitterness. One of the more hop forward IPA’s I have had...and I have had a lot of hoppy IPA’s.

GABF 2005: Slightly hazed golden hue with a light frothy head and very good lacing. The aroma has a hop smack to it with the grapefruity esters. Also detected some bready and caramel malts as well as a dusty yeast ester. The flavor was mostly balanced with bitterness and cirtic qualities softened by a malty backbone. Light pepper and clove on the finish. A good IPA and a needed change of pace.

GABF ’05. Citrus hop flavor (grapefruit) with a generic caramel malt backing. Musky aged hop aroma. A good IPA, a bit off the beaten track.

Golden color full white well laced head. Dominante hop aroma of grapefruit and touch of pine w/ eak carmel notes. Palate is oily and well coated. Flavor is grapefruit touch of orange rind light carmel, nicely bitter. A good IPA.. another good beer from Iron hill.. These guys came out of nowhere to surprise me w/ a bunch of great beers.

[At GABF 2004] A hazy yellow beer with a small white head. The aroma is grassy and hoppy. And the flavor is lovely with strong notes from a nice hop sort, giving it notes of hop acids, hop oils, as well as grass. Nice IPA.

Another great PA IPA. Draft at the West Chester location. Slight turbid dark straw pour, with aroma of hopcit and fruit. Tastes fruity, with initial citrusy hops and a smooth, fruity finish. Nice balance and complexity.
