I thought this was just a re-lable of their IPA or IIPA, but seeing as it’s an entry, here goes... On tap. Medium copper in color with a very small off white head. Aromas of citrus, floral and light caramel. Tastes follow with a grapefruit bitter finish.

Tap at Iron Hill West Chester for RBSG 2011. Pours clear orange with no head formation. Nose is cheesy hops and orange candies...oh joy. Taste is bitter orange candies and candy corn. Feels syrupy sweet with mild spicy tamarind. Not my style.

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2007 I’ve now had 4/5 "Hopzillas" listed on Ratebeer. I just need the Wild Duck to be complete, but it’s retired and not made anymore. Had this on draft at North Wales. Very sharp c-note hops in the nose, dank even, with some olive oil and grapefruit hop resin in the nose. Fluffy yeast on the tongue, maybe a sourdough quality as well, with some muddiness in the hop flavors as well. Sharp and oily, but light on the tongue over the middle, mostly just sharp up front. Oily rather than crisp I would say, with some fruity bitterness and some moderately strong grassiness in the finish. I like.

This one is great, with a medium copper pour and fluffy, two-finger off-white head. The aroma is intense and hoppy, with a solid caramel malt and some tropical fruit notes. The flavor and palate are complex, well balanced, hoppy, fruity, with a solid caramel malty backbone. I growlered this one, and enjoyed every ounce.
