COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This extra strong spicy Belgian pumpkin ale is truly a beer from the farm. It is unfiltered with a beautiful Burnt orange color. Ichabod’s nose is filled with flavors of the harvest including clove, allspice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The palette is sweet with hints of roasted pumpkin, and caramel. There is a warming finish that is both fruity and aromatic. Over 6 pounds of pumpkin per barrel were added right to the mash. Drink enough and you’ll lose your head too!

IH ichabod... clear darker amber, ok white head, excellent retention, crazy lacing... lots of spice dom by nutmeg and cinnamon, lightly evergreen, ... alcohol is present, spiciness is there but undrlying the alc... way too full bodied for 8.5%... the old 8 4 6 2 14

Poured out of a pumpkin. Aroma of spices: nutmeg, clove and a hint of cinnamon. Pours deep bronze with little head. Tastes of clove, nutmeg and hints of yam and pumpkin. A little too much spice for my taste but otherwise good.

20101106 tap at Newark. Bright orange color with lasting khaki head. Aroma is spicy, savory, and lightly toasty with some caramel maltiness. Ample eff for such a big beer goes a long way toward drinkability. Finishes a bit hot, but appropriately so. Solid effort, but the insane strength seems uncalled for.

On tap @ IH, Newark This is truly the best pumpkin beer I’ve had. Very intense and rich aromas and flavors of pumpkin and spices. A true Belgian lovers delight.

Sweet with pumpkin spice smelling. Orange color with reddish tint, not much for head. Spicey cinamon/nutmeg flavor; sweet with an alcohol kick.

Good but not as good as the regular pumpkin. Very nice looking with a nice aroma of pumpkin pie spices. Clear amber with a small head. Flavor is pumpkin pie sweetness with a dry finish.

Guest tap at stewarts.. Poured into a pint glass. Dark red in color. Nose of some spices and some malt. Taste is a little dissapointing.. Strong maltiness with some spices and some hops. Lacking the "pumpkin" note. Kind of boring. Overall.... I was excited to see this brew at stewarts but kind of let down once I tasted it....
