3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear golden/amber with a medium white head. Aroma has a light toasty toffee note. Flavor has toasty toffee up front and quickly balances with nice crisp bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish has a grassy dryness that lingers to spice.

Pours with no head. Nice copper color. Totally flat with no evidence of CO2. How they got it out of the keg? I don’t know.
Sour finish. Sucks.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the Lancaster location on Memorial Day 2011.
Pours a clear golden color with a good white head with moderate retention and a ring or so of lacing on the way down. Thin white collar throughout. The nose brings light floral hops. Also, some bread and accompanying mild sweetness. The flavor brings very light floral and earthy hops along with a nice bready character and also light sweetness. Really fantastic balance between these three components. Light to medium body and a dry, crisp finish with nice bitterness. One of the best, if not the best, version of the style I’ve come across. Well done, Iron Hill Lancaster.
