transparent gold, thin white ring for a head. Nose is very dusty grain, bordering on hay, light honey, really snappy. Flavor is light dust and manure, honey, short finish, not quite as dusty as the nose. Very drinkable, fantastic in fact.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Thorpe429 (3824) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - JUN 4, 2011
On tap at the Lancaster location on Memorial Day 2011.
Pours a clean golden color with a good white head and a bit of light lacing on the way down. The nose brings forward some light grainy malt plus a moderate amount of floral hops. The flavor is really quite nice, distributing the flavors of the grain and light floral hopping quite well. Very crisp. Light with good carbonation. Very refreshing. Something I would definitely have again.

20110314 tap at W-ton (Loadstone). Good looking yellow-gold with tall, lasting, sticky white suds. Looks perfect and inviting. Aroma is fresh, bread, mildly grassy, quite yeasty. Body is medium and amply carbonated to keep it lithe. Slight alcohol presence. Crisp dry finish with little lingering beyond some tasty bready malts. Good stuff.

On tap at newark location... "Lodestone Lager" Poured into pint glass. Decent head. Looks like your typical lager.... Taste like your typical lager as well... Only a little crisper and fresher. Overall, for a lager not bad.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 ROGUE (1360) - Newark, Delaware, USA - DEC 19, 2008
On tap at Newark and Wilmington Brewery. Lodestone is your standard lager, on the lighter side. Poured a clear, medium copper color with almost no head. Smells sweetand doughy. Tastes of sweet hops with an aftertaste of fruit and a hint of alcohol. Somewhat flat mouthfeel.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 cazort (457) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 8, 2008
(On tap in Lancaster, called "Munich Helles" but it’s the same beer.) Only a hint of hops. Very yeasty. Mild. Doesn’t taste remotely German. Doesn’t taste at all like this style. Much too bland/boring.

Poured a dark golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of doughy yeast, toast, toffee, and light citrus. Taste of more citrus fruits, with toffee, toasted dough, and citrus, with a bit of corn here as well.
