On nitro at the North Wales location. Poured a dark brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of roast, chocolate, and some oatmeal. Reminded me of a chocolate covered malted milk ball. Tastes of chocolate, oatmeal, and roast. On the roasty side. Lots of lacing left on the glass. Thinner body. Increasing the overall numbers some.

Nitro, Wilmington. Opaque black with a big, creamy tan head. Nitrogen pretty much killed the aroma except for some faint chocolatiness. Flavor is quite nice, with a ton of roasted malts and a distinct oaty character. Mouthfeel is full for a nitro’ed beer. Pretty good.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 10/20 cazort (462) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 4, 2009
Creamy, very smooth, thick. Nice aroma, but way too sweet, almost syrupy. With less sugar this would be a truly awesome beer, but it doesn’t do much for me as-is.
