On draft at North Wales. Copper colored with big, creamy white head. Aroma of malt, toffee, caramel. The taste and palate were very rich, firm, and complex, with hints of malt, toffee, caramel, nuts, and I swore I could taste a nutmeggy, pumpkin pie essence. I took a growler of this and a growler of the Harvest Ale to go. One of my top 20 marzens of all time.

KSBF 07 (this was brewed at the Newark location) I think Justin is thier brewer there, and judging by this beer, he rocks. This is the best Oktoberfest I have had this year, and maybe even better than Ramsteins. Pours a nice clear orangy amber with nice subtle carbonation and a large frothy long lasting off white head- good lace. Aroma is fresh baked bread, toasted malts, tons of light munich and vienna with light nuts and a subtle fresh floral hop touch. Awesome full malty flavor with tons of toasted malts, light caramel flavor, but all munich and vienna- no sharp crystal malts used. Good clean crisp finish with just a touch of hops in the end. Smooth as hell. One of the best beers at the fest by far.

Draught at Phoenixville BrewPub (at 7.7%ABV): Aroma of malts, malty sweetness, slight maple syrup, and a hint of nuts. Poured amber in color with a large, rocky, creamy, tan head that lasted throughout. Very good lacing. Clear. Sparkling. Lightly sweet, slightly bitter, flavor. Tastes of malts, , earth, light nuts, and dried leaves. Medium body. Lightly dry, slightly syrupy texture. Average carbonation. Malt and dry leaf finish is lightly dry. 7.7%ABV is totally hidden. A nice Oktoberfest.

[Phoenixville, PA] Poured a copper color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of nuts, caramel, toast, toffee, and a bit of citrus. Taste of nuts, toasted dough, caramel, and a rather bitter, dry finish.

TomDecapolis (4221) - Lawrence, Kansas, USA - SEP 30, 2006
On tap at the Phoenixville location. Pours a translucent deep copper with an average creamy off white head that left some lacing. Aroma of a grainy maltiness, toffee, caramel and a hint of citrus. Flavor was also very grainy, cereal, nuts, caramel and some hints of hops to keep things interesting. Nicely done Marzen.

Draft at Maple Shade. Poured a clear orange/amber with a smaller quickly and totally disipating white head. Aroma had notes of grain, spice and nutts. Flavor was mostly amber malt with light spice, cereal and biscuit. Solid beer that is easily sessionable.
