COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a filtered American wheat beer, with a touch of natural raspberry flavor and aroma. Before you pass this one over because it’s a “fruit” beer, try it on a hot summer afternoon. Our brewers even admit it’s their beer of choice during those hot summer beer festivals.

(Growler) Golden Pour, with a decent sized white head. Nose is as advertised, raspberry. Taste is exactly what you would expect from a wheat beer, especially after smelling it. Overall rather refreshing, got exactly what I wanted.

This poured a cloudy darker yellow color with a white had. Aroma was of light sweeter raspberries and lgiht grainy wheat notes. Flavor was a decent blend of raspberry and spicey wheat character. Ok fruit wheat.

On tap at Lancaster. Transparent gold, fizzy white head. Nose is standard syrupy-fruit sweetness + wheat, astringent grain clashing with sugar. Flavor is worse, lightly balanced sweetness but heavily synthetic, bit corny through the finish, lasting wheat and washed out bitterness. Really dislike beers that taste like fruit syrup has been added.

20110410 tap at Newark. Much jammy raspberry in aroma. Medium yellow with small, quick, white head. Thin bodied, a touch metallic, no bitterness. Lingering sweet, kind of candyish berry. Okay for a fruit wheat, but neither American wheat nor raspberry pale ales are particularly interesting to begin with.
