Commercial Description:
OG: 1.080 Color: 17 IBU: 18 % Alc: 7.8% Description: This strong German rye beer is a bigger version of the Roggenbier. It has a huge fruity nose of banana and cloves from the Bavarian ale yeast that marries with the notes of caramel from the German specialty malts, and a mild, spicy character from the rye.

Poured a murky brown color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of rye, nuts, caramel malts, citrus, and toffee. Taste of vanilla, caramel, nuts, more rye, with light spice, some citrus, and low bitterness, with an enormous mouthfeel, and dry finish.

Draft a P-ville. Pours turbid brownish clayish colored with off-white head. Aroma is clovey spicy, with a lot of red winey fruit, rye bready yeasty wafts, plus some hoppy and peppery notes. Tastes rye malty up front, with a nice fruity mid-palate leading to a peppery and clovey finish. Very unique and very well done.

Appears a cloudy, murky brown with a small, off-white head that fades into a mild cap with a small collar. Smell is of bananas, cloves, caramel, cocoa, light apple, and dry rye. Taste is of the mentioned aromas with clove and pepper standing ontop of the estery yeast and dryness of the rye. Mouthfeel is full bodied, yeasty, estery, and balanced with ripe bananas, caramel, yeasty dryness, and roasted nuts combining on the palate for a well done brew.
