| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jul 21, 2009 Bottle from Sean. Thanks man! I have seen this one before and I think at one point I had it on my wanted list, but regardless, the Salad Tosser himself (Sean), went there and got me one of these bad boys. Pours out black with a tan head - no shock there. Smell is full of roasted malts and coffee, some chocolate, a touch of hops too. Very fresh smelling. Really good. Taste is thick with the consistency of motor oil. A nice fresh hop kick is in this, proving that this beer is ready to drink from the tanks. Chocolate and coffee are abound, with no presence of alcohol at all. A really good beer that I wish was a little easier to come by. douglas88 (1582), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

Pours a very dark brown color with a large brown head. The aroma is great; loads of roasted malts, dark fruit, molasses, cocoa, loads of malts. The flavor is similar; lots of roasted malts, sweet molasses, cocoa, chocolates, light bitter hops, full of flavor. Very good. I’ve had a lot of Imperial Stouts, and I never get tired of beers like this. Awesome. Drank after the Penguins victory for the Stanley Cup!! jkwalking05 (1483), Arlington, Texas, USA

Pretty solid imperial stout but what can i say, it doesn’t do much for me. Chocolate and molasses are the most dominant flavors though you can definitely taste the age in this brew. Alcohol well hidden but damn most imperial stouts are making me snore. emacgee (1864), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
