22oz bottle courtesy Beerlando. Chocolate, caramel, raisin nose. Dark black color with chocolate brown edges. Flavor is lightly bitter hops, huge chocolate with a dash of tart. Great!

Courtesy Beerlando. Pours black, with a small, swirly off white head. Smells pretty roasty, got some hops, and a unique little tartness to it. The flavor was more of a chocolate bomb, which was unexpected, but nice. Got that sweet little tartness to it in the end, probably from the semblances of dark fruits I picked up as well. Rich and oily on the palate, with a strict chocolate bitterness in the aftertaste. Really nicely done and interesting imperial stout. Very tasty.

Pours an extremely dark mahogany brown to virtually black color. A small, creamy, tan colored head leaves soapy, spotty lacing behind on the glass. The aroma is complex and delightful. Massive, malty notes of chocolate fudge, cookie dough, caramel, and vanilla are further deepened by raisons, figs, and a hint of anise. Flavors, too, showed melted chocolate, caramello, brown sugar, figs and raisons. Some earthy hops linger in the background, lending just the right amount of balance. Palate-wise, this one is medium-full, with a velvety, soft carbonation. Wow, this is a great RIS, and a chocolate lover’s dream. I want more!

750, corked and baled, thanks, SuzyGreenberg! Pours translucent blackish brown with a lacy tan head. Sweet brown sugar, chocolate and roasted malt in the aroma and taste.

750 bottle that BigErn popped and let me have some.
Pours a very dark brown almost black in color. Smell is heavily roasted malt and some cocoa. Taste is even better. More of the roasted flavors, but enough chocolate to round it out. Very nice, huge mouthfeel to stand up against it all. This is a good RIS, would love to try a BA version of this. Think that would set up and be very nice.

750, corked and baled. Outlandish label. Thanks, Suzygreenberg! Nearly black. Light caramel highlights. Headless, laceless, legless. Big roasty and chocolatey nose. Creamy body on the high side of medium. Rich roasty chocolatey mid-palate. Mild finish. Great beer...until you put it up against other amazing RISes.

6-27-08 bottle shared with lb4lb thanks to GMCC2181
Dark brown black with no real lasting head. Smell is nice and roasted and figgy and chocolatey. Flavor has some oak to it that balanced the roasted malt flavors nicely. Nice palate that works well here.

Bottle courtesy of GMCC2181. Thanks dude!
Pours dark black with a light tan head. Smell is mostly rich dark, dry cocoa, chocolate and a bit of dark fruits as well. Taste is rich, dark roasty malt, dark chocolate and dark fruits again, and very well balanced between the components. The dark fruit flavor comes out a touch more as it warms. Mouthfeel is medium to slightly thick, and the lightly bubbly carbonation makes this incredibly drinkable and almost refreshing. Nice hit of hop bitterness too rounding this out into a fantastic Imperial Stout! Thanks again for this one!
