bottle, from trade with eaglefan538. Good aroma, roasted grain, little licourice streak about it, new cardboardbox smell. Dark orangy black color. Small head on first pour, better head on second pour, little to no lace either way. Bitter flavor Bitter roast grain, slight sweetness, the cocoa side of things, little smoke. Medium body, lite creamy mouthfeel, bitter finish. Good to drink, not offensive, not a jaw dropper either.

Oct 4, 2008 Bottle. Poured an opaque dark brown color with a tan head. Thick pour. Smelled of chocolate, tar, alcohol, and a hint of black rubber. Full bodied and slightly sweet. Tarry, chocolatey flavor with low to moderate carbonation and some alcohol warmth.

Oct 4, 2008 Big thanks to foureyedgeek for sharing. Dark brown with a thin tan head. Roasty smell with chocolate and coffee. Tastes smooth and creamy with lots of cocoa and espresso notes. This is a really good stout!

Sep 21, 2008 From bottle courtesy of foureyedgeek. Light sweet nose with some coffee and a bit of chocolate. Mild hop character. Vanilla. Dark black clear with thin cocoa head. Medium bodies with medium carbonation. Sweet start with chocolate, coffee, and licorice. Bitter finish with lots of dark bitter chocolate. Nice Stout.

Sep 16, 2008 Bottle: A friend of mine visiting PA picked this up for me. Never heard of it before, but it was really good. Pours dark as night with a small head. Aroma of chocoate, caramel and coffee. Very good.
