Older bottle from GMCC, thanks Gabe. Poured a clear golden color with a fluffy head comprised of large bubbles that slowly receded to a bubbly layer. Aroma is fruity with notes of crisp apple and light pear paired with some honey-like sweetness and a light musty yeastiness with some light undertones of spice (clove and ginger). Smooth, lightly spicy entry with some light ginger that transitions into a fruity sweetness with hints of dried pear and apple skin along with some dried apricot that is followed by a moderate yeasty dryness with some lingering spice and soft undertones of apple. A little over-carbonated and too biting to be really enjoyable. Overall, it has some decent attributes, but the carbonation was so vigorous I began to wonder whether it was a sign of infection or not. It was decent, but it needs some refining.

I’m not a huge fan of saison-style beers, but this one was really delicious. This draft from Phoenixville poured a very cloudy and dark yellow color. There wasn’t much of a head, but some nice lacing got left behind on the sides of the glass. The nose contained some wild yeast, banana, clove and floral and spicy hops. The flavors were really well-balanced, with more banana and clove, along with some bread, yeast and grassy hops. The body felt very carbonated and lively. The finish was especially lively and featured more grassy and spicy hops.

Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Fruity and flowery, with the faintest funky hints, spices, and relatively light sweetness. Clean and big on drink-ability. Good stuff.

Hazy blonde pour with a thin white head .... aroma of spicy fruity yeast, oranges/citrusy goodness .... taste is fresh and spicy with a fruity yeast punch and an orange/citrusy peppery bite .... has a nice tart/spicy flavor which really gives it a great mouthfeel .... has a lingering dryness with a light spicy/peppery bite .... well done saison

Thanks to Moll for sharing the bottle. Served in a mini tumbler. Nose is grainy and faintly nutty. Dry and very carbonated. Fluffy white head. Flavor is more nutty. Stale peanut butter. Dry finish.

Draft during the pumpkin tapping. Poured a clear copper body, a bit dark for the style in my eyes, average sized foamy dense white head. Aroma of bubble gum, tropical fruits, yeast, grains, peach and apricot skins. Fuller body with strong carbonation. Flavor is big yeast notes up front, some rotting fruits, earth, wet bread. I liked it but the spiceyness wasn’t really there.
