More of a dry stout, with prominent Belgian Chocolate. Enjoyable though one dimensional. A novelty to be shared rather than a range of flavours to be displayed in a meal. Still enjoyable, and to be saved for cooking. No off notes, good for what it is. Brown colored body with a little lasting head.

750ml cork and caged bottle from Maple Shade picked up by pineypower, sorry we didn’t wait for you on this one Dean. Poured a solid black silky body under an okay looking average sized foamy beige head that fades without leaving much lace. Aroma was solid, some old Tootsie Roll chocolate, medium to dark toast, chocolate powder, roasted malts. The body was sick to the point where I would of thought this was a nitro pour, so smooth and creamy with light carbonation and a long lasting aftertaste. Flavor is the same as the aroma with a solid chocolate note up front along with some grainy and bready toast followed by more light chocolate, mostly of the Tootsie Roll variety. Solid beer here.

Bottle. Dark brown, almost black, massive tan head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pure milk chocolate, vanilla, light spice. Taste is vanilla beans, brownies. Tasty.

Bottle chilled, cage and corked, drank at IH Wilmington: Dark black in color, nice head. Nose of chocolate, roasted malts, little vanilla, flowers. Taste is a nice chocolate stout. Not over the top. Bitter roasted malts, chocolate is noticable but not the dominant taste. Light coffee, vanilla and some flowers. Slight bitterness in the end to balance it out. Medium to light body, easy to drink. I like the low alcohol content but still has a ton of flavor. Overall: Easy drinking nice stout

750 cc gift pack with 2 great labeled glasses from IHP. Pours very turbid black, with just the smallest of dark brown margins peeking out of the bottom of the glass, and a 2-finger loud frothy head. The head is rather boisterous, and says to me, "I thought you gave up drinking in 2013, ass." A boisterous head indeed. The nose is black patent and choc malts, cacao, dark choc syrup. Tastes lively on the palate, with the choc malt mixing with the cacao, milder vanilla, and overall chocolate flavors to give this a dessert beer quality, albeit skewed to the dark chocolate end of the chocolate dessert beer spectrum, as such. This one is complex and enjoyable.

Pours dark brown/black with a huge tan head. Aroma has roasty chocolate with hints of coffee and faint nuttiness. Flavor follows suit...more of a bitter bakers chocolate...nutty with less coffee than the aroma...just a touch of smooth vanilla. Mouthfeel is light/medium and creamy with a roasty dark chocolate/nutty finish. Tasty and not heavy at all.
