At the Iron Hill Belgium Comes to West Chester event yesterday. Blonde. A bit bland and not the best idea, but not offensive. Smoke not overpowering, but not all that welcome.

Pours a hazy orange color with a medium white head...looks like a weissebier. Aroma has light smoke atop orange tea notes. Flavor follows suit but steps up the smoke and adds very minor metallic and band aid notes with a hint of caramel. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is slightly syrupy fruit with light smoke.

On tap at the North Wales location. Poured a deeper yellow, almost gold color with a smaller sized head. Nice smokey aromas that came out as it warmed up with some bready/biscuit. Tastes of the same with a slightly sweet finish. Some fruitiness lurking in the background. I liked the smoke characteristics.

750ml Bottle: Aroma of yeast, slight smoke, oranges, and hopcitrus. Poured orange in color with a small, loose, off-white head that disappeared very quickly. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of small and medium-sized particles throughout. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of malt, smoke, sugar, and ash. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Malt, smoke, sugar finish is lightly dry.

750 ml cork and caged bottle shared by pineypower, thanks Dean. Poured a cloudy orange body underneath a smaller foamy off white head. Aroma of super light smoke, apples and grapes, peanutts, flower stems. The body is nice with a medium to slightly thinner body and a creamy mouthfeel that really foams up once it passes your lips. Flavor has a lot more smoke then the aroma with additional notes of peanut butter and jelly, no lie, more apple, grains. Meh.....it’s diferent but not in love with this one.

Hazy golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of banana, toffee, clove, light smoke, and some citrus as well. Taste of citrus, burnt bread, toffee, some clove, banana, and a sweeter finish.
