Our version of a German Weizenbock. Full bodies and complex with a refreshing tanginess. Bavarian yeast lends a distinct character of banana and clove.

Growler fill from Chestnut Hill location. Pours very hazy orange-amber with a 1-finger bone-colored head. Aroma of banana esters mixed with earthy yeast. Medium-to-full body, moderately syrupy, with an astringent finish. Flavor of toffee mixed with a banana note that lingers in the finish. A touch of earthiness too.

on tap at Maple Shade - very good. Not as "Germany" as expected. Nice banana finish.

Have missed out on this beer each of the last two years, so coming at it hard, and wasn’t disappointed! Tap in Maple Shade, hazy orange body, short white head. Grape and wheat and yeast nose is classic Weizenbock par excellence, taste is more of the same: very sweet with grape and sugar, clove, yeast and prominent banana; light spice, light alcohol warmth (dangerous!), more red berry. Medium body with just a touch of yeast slime, oily orange peel and appropriately light bitterness. A revelation! Lively, energetic; wish I’d grabbed a growler.

Draft at Maple Shade during the tapping of the pumpkin. Poured a hazy orange/amber with a smaller tight foamy off whtie head. Aroma of wet wheat, banana, cloves with a slight touch of pepperiness. Flavor of banana, cloves, bubble gum, wet wheat, spice and some menthol. Fuller bodied with average carbonation. I like this one but you can tell it’s a bigger beer, which isn’t neccessariy a bad thing.

Pours a cloudy orange with just a small cap of foam. The aroma has some fruit and some clove, a hint of banana. The flavor has a nice tartness to it. The clove and banana are there too. This one is very refreshing with the 8.6% ABV no where to be found.

Draft at Maple Shade. Pours out a cloudy golden/orange color with not much of a head. Aroma is of fruits, light bubble gum, clove, and some spice. Taste is banana, clove, some sweet fruity notes, spice and light bitterness on the finish. Dangerously, no tell of the 8%. Solid stuff.
