Bottle:   Dark caramel hued amber, moderate frothy tannish head, nice lacing.   Cinnamon and nutmeg up front, pumpkin pie towards the back, even with a bit of crust.   Smells great!   Even seems to have a touch of
barrel aging, or perhaps rum?   Probably my imagination.   Nice malty body, spicy, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, with actual pumpkin pie like flavor.   I don’t think I have had one this good since the early versions of Pumking.
Body and mouthfeel are full to moderate.   Nice malty and spicy finish.   Warming but not alcoholic.   Good stuff, but certainly very pricey!

Pours a hazy amber with a medium lt tan head. Aroma has some fruit and spices...a bit of pumpkin but more like mild tart cherry with mild funk. Flavor is slightly tart...almost a blend of cherry and pumpkin with some muddled spice and funk. Mouthfeel is light and the finish is spicy/tart.

Pours a copper orange color with a soapy cream colored head. Aroma of pumpkin and pumpkin spices. Pumpkin flavor with spice with a syrupy feel on the way down. Very nice beer!

Draft and 750 cc bottle from IHP. Pours hazy coppery ruby with minimal off-white head. Nose is pumpkin puree, spice. Tastes rich, malty, with pumpkin, funky yeasty malt, mild syrupy notes, and a complex finish. This one comes off like and imperial Belgian pumpkin ale.

Deep ruby brown thin head; Flava is sweet spicy acohol, much like spiced C-mas ale. I don’t taste much pumpkin; feels thick and chewy, finishes sweet and alcohohic some grassy notes, not much aroma except alcohol.

From notes: 750ml cork & cage Brewer’s Reserve bottle purchased at Collegeville, PA location. Poured reddish-amber color with a 1-finger bone-colored head that thinned quickly. Lots of bubbling along the wall of the glass. Aroma was mild pumpkin mixed with bread. Medium-bodied, though with a slight thickness to it. Not too heavy. Flavor of pumpkin meat mixed with bready yeast and some mild spice notes. The pumpkin lingers nicely on the tongue with a touch of astringency to the finish.

Pours out an attractive orange color with a moderate white head. Aroma is of really nice pumpkin spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, light lingering sweetness. Taste is a nicely balance of pumpkin spices( cinnamon, nutmeg, clove) with a light sugary sweetness and almost a lingering light fruity note. This was a good one.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 LtDan (1676) - Los Angeles County, California, USA - OCT 11, 2011
Appearance: Pours a dark iced tea brown with a sudsy head. It shrinks down quickly to a swirly film.
Aroma: Pumpkin pie filling, vanilla.
Taste: Candi sugar, toasty malt, candi sugar. Pumpkin pie spices. Nutmeg finish.
Mouthfeel: Syrupy Low carbonation.
Overall: This was a very sweet and strong rendition of the pumpkin ale. Far sweeter than say Pumking. This would be best served in tasters amongst a group of other beer enjoying folks rather than an entire goblet. This might be one of the few pumpkin ales you could possibly lay down. The alcohol is pretty hidden, but it’s a big thick malty beer that could probably go for a while.

25.3 oz bottle. Hazy copper brown with a puffy off-white head. Nose is pumpkin, nutmeg, caramel and allspice. Medium body with lively carb. Taste is clove, bubblegum, bitter cinnamon and nutmeg. The pumpkin lingers but not enough to soften the dominant candi and molasses. A nice treat.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 dmac (3166) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - OCT 1, 2011
750 ml cork and caged bottle shared with Dean. Poured a deep dark brown/orange and a smaller off white head. Aroma is loaded with spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, pumpkin, al spice, hint of medicine. Medium to fuller bodied with a good dose of carbonation and a slightly syrupy feel. Falvor much like the aroma with lots of spices, lesser extent pumpkin, very much like an overspiced muffin. Good stuff.
