On tap poured slightly hazy yellowish orange with white head. Aroma brought out big notes of orange, and then more orange, with some slight hints of spice and biscuit in there as well. Taste was a bit more balanced, hints of biscuit, spice and grass but a big, bordering on artificial tasting orange flavor kind of killed it.

Yes, this one is orangy, as one would expect a beer infused with oranges to be. It isn’t terribly sweet, and the tripel quality is still there, and it became more boozy for me rather than orange soda-like. It’s more like tripel sec mixed with tripel than orange crush Admittedly, this is an experimental beer, but one I will gladly order every time it is on.

Tap at BCWC 2010- brewed at P-ville. Pours a hazy golden with a thinning head. Aroma is straight up creamsickle- tons of orange zest, orange juice and cream/sugar with peppery spices and earthy tones. Flavor is belgian yeasty- over citrus, more orange creamsickle, slick orange oils and zest- spicy prickly phenolic yeast character and a slick sweetness in the end almost with a liquor-like sweet alcoholic burn. Bleh.

Tap at IH Pville. Pours a lightly hazy golden with a medium bubbly white head that laced. Aroma of orange soda and some light tripel spicy/yeasty notes. Flavor of orange drink, light tripel yeast profile and some bready malt. Too much orange. Hard to believe this was the zest. Seems more like orange flavoring syrup.

Draught at Phoenixville BrewPub: Aroma of McDonald’s orange drink and orange zest. Poured yellow/gold in color with a small, white head that lasted throughout. Hazy. Sparkling. Good lacing. Flavor is medium to heavily sweet. Tastes very orange, like McDonald’s orange drink. Medium body. Lightly dry texture. Average to lively carbonation. Orange finish. Not a beer for me. Tastes like McDonald’s orange drink and orange juice concentrate.
