This amber Austrian lager has a distinct bready malt aroma and flavor followed by a crisp clean finish typical of lager styles. The nose also shows plenty of the spicy hop aroma contributed by the use of Saaz hops. Winner of a Bronze medal at the 1999 GABF.

Pale orange-amber body, medium to thin white head, spotty lacing. Modest caramel, toast, toffee, florals, light grass, and some sweeter biscuit malts. Medium bodied, smooth, gentle carbonation, linger semi-sweet finish.

Clear orange red. No real aroma. Taste was sweet caramel, roast malt and grain. Not a great beer.

On draft at the brewpub (Voorhees). Pours a clear amber color with a small off white head of foam. Aroma of sweet toasted grain, and light notes of old citrus fruit. Taste mimics the nose with some grassy notes as well.

W/ Uncle mark @ iron hill in Jersey. Bland and uninspiring. But i am not a huge fan of the style.

On tap at Maple Shade - very nice lager, good malt flavor, not as hoppy as the description states.

A nice solid drinkable brew. Pretty rustic orange pour with some nice lacing. Taste is clean & crisp. Nothing special going on here but still a decent beer & I usually do not like this style!

At the lancaster pub. A darker than pale lager fer sure but not red in color. Friendly and clean smell. Thin head. Nice overall taste, not cloying the least. Not sweet either. Must say that it comes across really fresh. If this is what a vienna is supposed to taste like the bottled versions I’ve been having are terrible. Good overall beer.

Tap at Maple Shade. Amber pour with small head and lacing. Notes were honey, caramel, toasted malts, and some more bread. Spicy hop bitterness as the beer warmed up from the Saaz. Not that awful, one of the only drinkable beers not on the seasonal list.

a light yellow colour. A little acidic for the style. Good malty aroma. Not the best for the style but drinkable.
