COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A highly approachable IPA with lots of hop flavor and aroma, mild bitterness, and a dry finish. Dosed late in the boil, as well as dry-hopped, this India Pale Ale focuses not on the bitterness in the finish, but instead on the flavor and aroma of the hops. 5% ABV.

On tap at brewery. Amber, diaphanous with a little white surface foam. Some grapefruit and yeast smells on the nose,a little sweet. Bitter with solid hops and a bit of muddy hops on the sweet malts. Medium bodied with assertive carb and semi dry finish. Nice beer. Serving type: on-tap 03-18-2012

Yellow pour with a white head. The aroma has some orange and perfume notes from the hops as well as some toffee. The flavor is similar with bitter orange notes, grass and light toffee. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Iron Horse IPA. Cloudy copper pour. Not much bitterness in taste but quite a bit of hoppiness in aroma and flavor. Unusual lemon and "earthy" notes in flavor as well. A little thin on the malts, which is odd considering the dark color. Overall good -- unusual at the very least; this is not one you can pigeon hole, even if it is not your typical IPA. I'm intrigued. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber poured a hazy orange amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, floral notes, grapefruit, orange zest and light pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, floral notes and light orange zest with a smooth dry lingering floral finish.

Draught at Mckay’s Taphouse, Bellingham
Cloudy light amber color. The aroma is fruity, nice. The mouthfeel is lean, with caramel flavor and strong earthy/manure character; correct bitterness.
It’s an earthy IPA, good.
