Glowing orange/amber with a frothy head that lingers. Mild aroma is bready, with spicy hops. Medium body. Nice lightly sweet pale malt flavors with some toasted bread. Has a tasty bitter hop bite to finish. No complaints.

Copper with nice light off white head. Aroma is citrus and earthy hops. Flavour has tons of hop presence with a citrus and pine note. Sweet touch at the finish. Full and rich for 5%.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A fairly solid, albeit a bit boring of an IPA. Pours out a darker than normal IPA, almost mahogany in color without much head action. There was a bit of white film but after that zippo. Aroma is soft tropical fruits/grapefruity nose but itís just too damned quiet. Flavors were lightly bittered with notes of grapefruit, metal, a bit of soap and an overal floral character that was nice. Very toned down IPA here.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Gold orange color. Thin head and hella floaties. Aroma is faint and earthy with a little perfume. A little bready malt. Reminds me of an APA really. Light floral hops are balanced by some sweet caramel and toffee malt. Lingering dryness and medium carbonation. As it became warmer, the bitterness went away and the caramel malt lingered leaving an amber ale-ish like beer. An average and light beginner style IPA.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours dark amber with little head but as much floaty gelatinous material as something from Abbeye des Rocs (but Iím less likely to give a random IPA a pass for this than I am to let AdR Grand Gru or Triple Imperiale off the hook).
Juicy (tropical fruit more than pure citrus) aroma; nice balanced flavor with a not-so-aggressive fruity hop presence and just a slight vegetal tinge on the back end, relatively caramelly and nice to drink. Thin mouthfeel with very little carbonation, a bit disappointing. Overall reasonable enough, maybe even within striking distance of excellence, but requiring a few tweaks to get there.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUL 4, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy light copper with a fluffy white head. Sweet aroma of citrus, earthy, floral hops. Medium-light body and moderate carbonation. A bit of caramel in the flavor to sweeten things up, but mostly itís the hops: grapefruit, citrus, floral, then drifting into pine for the finish. My previous tastings from this brewer have been hit and miss, but this one was definitely a hit!
07/2008 I don’t know if it’s me or the brewer, but I just tried a bottle from another batch, and I’m now picking up juicy fruit in the aroma and flowers in the finish, and they didn’t seem to be there before. I’m not so fond of the beer the second time around.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a slightly hazy copper with off white head. The aroma is a combination of earthy, floral, lemon zest and orange peel. It smells pretty cool but a bit different for an IPA. The taste is an immediate assault from earthiness and lightly roasted malt sweetness. OK, a mild assault. Toward midway bitter floral hops, spice hops and a some pine hops join in and get progressively more bitter into the finish. This is a somewhat different combination of hops than Iím used to for an IPA. They play very nicely together. Just the right amount of overall bitterness, some malts and a couple twists and turns to add interest. Nice job.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
12oz Bottle - Gravity Room - Olympia, WA
Aroma Ė This had a medium IPA aroma, more like a amber aroma for the hops and malts
Appearance Ė Amber brown in color, clear and with a nice thick heah
Flavor Ė The beer was lacking in the deep tradition of an IPA. Maybe I am a Hop snob but this was medoum at best for the hops. The malts where very nice. Had some good flavors but was missing the deeep hops flavors.
Palate Ė The beer was warm and dry and had a sweetness to the finish this was a different beer all around but very tasty
Overall ĖI liked the beer but was expecting more from the hops. Maybe this was a new style I have yet to really understand. Amber beer with medium hops.

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
12-ounce. Pours fairly cloudy dark amber with virtually no head and just a whisp of lace, all white (what there is of it). Nice mango-y nose, but that note feels underdeveloped and whatís worse is it seems to have no company. Almost seems like it just slipped through, even though itís supposed to be there. Flat and watery attack. Sour, vegetal DMS acridity blends with the hops, makes for a real ashtray of a finish. Iíve wanted to try these guys for years and so far today theyíre 0 for 2 on their bottled product.
