COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This full-bodied, slightly sweet Brown Ale has just the right combination of chocolate malt and hop bitterness to make your mouth explode from flavor, and also happens to be high in gravity at 6% ABV. There’s a reason we call it Malt Bomb. You’re welcome.

Strong sweet caramel malt in the nose. Clear amber-brown body is topped by a low but lasting, off-white head. Flavour is strong caramel and toffee up front with decent offsetting bitterness. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Pretty straightforward but enjoyable. Tulip glass. Just above fridge temperature. Bottle.

pours a semi-cleear brown with a red tint, a thin khaki head, and not much lacing. smell is of malt, caramel, and a touch of spice. taste is thick, malty, caramel, spice, and some hops. ends a little bitter and smooth.

Transparent light brown with a thin head. Nutty nose with a little banana. High carbonation and malty notes, but as others have said, hardly a bomb.

22oz bottle. Rating #11. Very hazy, almost murky dark brown piur with a thin tan head. Big malty aroma, sweet spices and raisins hit me in the initial smell, not what I expected at all. Flavor is a little more subdued, light dry gruits and a touch of toastiness, not bad. (2209)

Bit of hazelnut, bit of malt. Definitely does not live up to being called a malt bomb, however.

Bottle: Caramel brown colored pour with a thin beige head. Mild aroma is earthy, nutty, and sweet. Good malty presence in the taste; earthy, chocolate, faint roast... a little more nuttiness. Easy sipper and not a bad session beer at all.

DuffMan (6667) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 26, 2011
Bottle, shared with JJ. Medium brown, average tan head. Sweet nutty caramel aroma, a little molasses. Caramel, light chocolate, hints of hazelnut flavours. Medium bodied, low bitterness in the finish, more acidic than bitter. Not a malt bomb by any stretch (it’s like calling Big Rock IPA a hop bomb), but not a bad beer.

Hazy ruby brown color/ tan sheen. Rootbeer spice, light roast, brown sugar aromas. Medium body with soft co2. Medium roast malt, mild chocolate, nutty, brown sugar flavors--malt bomb.

Light chocolate malt body with some spice notes and bread character. A touch of leafy hops and maybe some licorice.
