5000 (2400), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA Jan 1, 2008 Draught at Stumbling Monk: Watery, decent nose, dupont like, thin on the exit, fairly clean, moderate frothy white head, spotty
lacing.   Better nose and flavor than most, but a little thin.   Interesting take, not half bad.
anders37 (2741), Malmö, Sweden Aug 13, 2008 Draught @ Beveridge Place Pub, Seattle. Pours a clear golden color with a longlasting white head. Has a spicy yeasty slightly fruity aroma. Sweetish malty spicy and slightly yeasty flavor. Fruity malty and slightly spicy yeasty finish. presario (2441), Calgary, Alberta, Canada May 25, 2008 Amber. Light head. Soft apricot and pear aroma with some funky coriander. Lots of pepper flavour builds after the finish and peaks half a minute after the swallow, lasting till the next sip. BillKismet (1443), Seattle, Washington, USA Mar 29, 2008 Updated: Apr 1, 2008Astonished by the low ratings for this one. My friend and I were both blown away by this atypical Iron Horse offering. The best American Saison I have enjoyed to date and seems right out of a Belgian Farmhouse. Yellow-tan with vigorous ring of carbonation feeding a carbonated layer of head. Outstanding floral/herbal boquet with added complexity of Belgian yeast phenols. Herbal, floral, and yeasty complexity melds expertly in flavor as well with a hint of pepperiness. auderale (466), Fairchild AFB, Washington, USA Feb 2, 2008 Bottle: Cloudy golden colored pour with medium sized head. Yeasty, citrusy nose with a spicy citrus finish. Not bad. homebrewcolin (6), Seattle, Washington, USA does not count Jan 28, 2008 Kept coming back for more at Strange Brew Fest. Textbook example of a Saison, definitely the DuPont yeast. Nothing to crazy interesting but oh so dry and drinkable. These guys are on the right track. (no pun intended)
