2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the Iron House Brewery in Tasmania
A-- Poured a dark amber color with some ruby tints at top and bottom of glass. Half finger of light brown head that quickly faded to film. Good lacing left while drinking. Lots of spider web like lacing.
S-- Quite earthy and slightly metallic. Mostly orange and burnt toffee. Reminds me more of a bigger ESB really.
T-- Pungent orange, pine and grapefruit with a big burnt toffee backbone.
M-- Lighter medium carbonation and slightly prickly carbonation at times. Fairly heavy body. Quite dry finish. More like an IPA in the feel.
O-- Supped up ESB with more bitterness. Not a bad beer by any stretch. Well hidden ABV as had two with no problems.
