COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This double IPA has twice the hops and grains as its counterpart. Significant floral, citrus, and peppery notes on the nose, yet even with the enormous hop profile, the huge grain bill results in a very well balanced brew.
Hops: CTZ, Chinook, and Simcoe

Bottle. Clear orange with white head. Aroma: fresh citrus hops, sweet malty caramel, grapefruit, slightly dank. Taste: grapefruit bitterness, citrus, caramel, some pine and a slight dank note! Alcohol well hidden with balanced body. Really nice!

Syrup amber color light haze to it. Nice Earthy pine smell not to big but it is there. Big robust full round hops that fill your mouth but fishes smooth and balanced.

On tap at city beer. Light amber. Some white head. Full body, low carbonation. Borderline gritty. Bitter! Grapefruit, lemon, pine aroma. Some malt.

Tap. Orangey gold, very thin white crown. Juicy orange on the nose, some pine air freshener, spice, light booze. Taste gives mango juice, booze, light spice, big spruce and pine. Medium mouthfeel. A bit too hot. Great juicy hops though. Another solid Bay Area DIPA

Pine, light malt and yeast with a strong hop kick. Thick golden amber color with a quickly dissipating off tan head. Heavy malt and Hio start with an almost caramel, smooth dry finish.

Bottled 1/21/14, bomber from Vine & Bine, $8.49. Speed rate for me. Clear medium burnt orange with a medium yellowish head, good retention. This is just how I remember it in bombers and on tap in their brewpub, delicious Mexi food and that quaint town. Fruity hops that seem sweet from the (too much for my tastes) large amounts of crystal malt. Even when I moved to California I thought it had too much. Also a bit of pine hops. Flavor follows suit, does add some grainy maltiness towards the backend with not too much of a pine earth bitterness. Semi-dry. A little alcohol present, not detracting. Full body with light to moderate smooth carbonation. Not my style of DIPA, but I gladly drank it for the nostalgia (thus the small bump in the overall).

Clear copper color with a small head. Pine and rosemary aroma. Rich bitter flavor. This beer made my day.

22. Thanks j! Pours a clear golden amber with a loose white head. Enormous grapefruit nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Toasty caramel with bright grapefruit oily overtones. Long dry finish.

Pours amber with a white head. Pine, grass, nice bitterness that's balanced by a sweet finish. Not overly malty though. I liked it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
