COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This double IPA has twice the hops and grains as its counterpart. Significant floral, citrus, and peppery notes on the nose, yet even with the enormous hop profile, the huge grain bill results in a very well balanced brew.
Hops: CTZ, Chinook, and Simcoe

Bomber bottle from City Beer, SF (bought on recommendation of the clerk), drank at home. Slightly hazy rich copper orange with a fading offwhite head. Nose of orange, grapefuit, resin, lots of crystal malt. Tastes sweet burnt sugar and big bitterness, citrus, floral and resin. Medium-full, oily, fairly soft carbonation. Nice enough but too malty for my tastes really. It’s only 2 months old so it can’t be a freshness issue really. Still, it’s not something I’d ever get in the UK.

Cloudy golden with a big white head, lots of sticky lacing. Aroma is earthy, herbal and floral. Taste is herbal, grassy, grains and citrus
A unique but very good IIPA.

"this darker than average murky brew coats the glass and hangs around a bit. smooth, almost nitro-like. malty and quite bitter as well, with a unique hop profile compared to most IIPAs. well done

Bottle. Clear orange with white head. Aroma: fresh citrus hops, sweet malty caramel, grapefruit, slightly dank. Taste: grapefruit bitterness, citrus, caramel, some pine and a slight dank note! Alcohol well hidden with balanced body. Really nice!

Syrup amber color light haze to it. Nice Earthy pine smell not to big but it is there. Big robust full round hops that fill your mouth but fishes smooth and balanced.

Tap. Orangey gold, very thin white crown. Juicy orange on the nose, some pine air freshener, spice, light booze. Taste gives mango juice, booze, light spice, big spruce and pine. Medium mouthfeel. A bit too hot. Great juicy hops though. Another solid Bay Area DIPA

Pine, light malt and yeast with a strong hop kick. Thick golden amber color with a quickly dissipating off tan head. Heavy malt and Hio start with an almost caramel, smooth dry finish.

Bottled 1/21/14, bomber from Vine & Bine, $8.49. Speed rate for me. Clear medium burnt orange with a medium yellowish head, good retention. This is just how I remember it in bombers and on tap in their brewpub, delicious Mexi food and that quaint town. Fruity hops that seem sweet from the (too much for my tastes) large amounts of crystal malt. Even when I moved to California I thought it had too much. Also a bit of pine hops. Flavor follows suit, does add some grainy maltiness towards the backend with not too much of a pine earth bitterness. Semi-dry. A little alcohol present, not detracting. Full body with light to moderate smooth carbonation. Not my style of DIPA, but I gladly drank it for the nostalgia (thus the small bump in the overall).
